Designed by Øivind Slaatto, the Patera Oval Pendant Lamp showcases a mesmerizing geometric design inspired by the Fibonacci sequence and the intricate structure of nature. Assembled by hand, Patera is a glowing ellipsoid made up of diamond-shaped cells where each cell is carefully designed to reflect glare-free light when viewed from an angle of above 40 degrees – while emitting a 360-degree illumination that bathes surrounding spaces, people and objects in a natural, even and pleasing light.
Below 40 degrees the lamp allows direct, downward light. The round opening underneath provides direct light with a soft transition towards the reflected light. The pendant can be used with or without a diffuser plate, depending on whether the view of the light source creates an unwanted glare or not.
